Today we were referred to Movement Referrals with our 18 month old Golden Retriever, Eddy, who has lost the use of his back legs. The experience both from professionalism point and care of Eddy and ourselves, was exceptional. No stone was unturned to diagnose Eddy’s medical problem. Callum, our vet explained everything clearly to us and answered any questions we had with understanding of our fear and concerns for Eddy’s moving forward. Eddy stayed overnight and had 5 star treatment, he improved greatly overnight and was able to come home with us. The discharge information was clear, informative and supportive of the care Eddy needed from now onwards and, had suggested exercises, where to gain further professional care for him to continue his recovering. Thank you so much to the Reception Staff and support behind the scenes! Great Team work.

This was a £10,000 operation for our dog that ultimately didn’t work, and the whole experience left us feeling completely misled and let down. We were given a lot of confidence beforehand, being told there was a 94% chance the procedure would heal our dog. When a professional tells you that, you naturally trust them and believe you’re making the right decision for your pet. However, once the payment was made and the surgery was done, the level of care changed dramatically. There was essentially no aftercare. No one followed up with us, and when we tried to get help we were simply told to send an email and a video. It honestly felt like once the money was taken, the interest in supporting us or our dog disappeared. When a pair of worried owners walk in trying to do the best for their pet, they should be met with genuine care and responsibility, not false hope and a lack of support afterwards. Overall, this experience felt like a serious abuse of trust placed in a professional.

I received an amazing service from Callum with my little dog Leia. Callum was thorough and took so much time to discuss her care. I really appreciated the unhurried and balanced approach. Callum put Leia at ease and was reassuring both in consultation and on discharge. He helped the enormous decisions to be made carefully and I felt reassured and confident that she was in the best hands. I’m so grateful to have had such superb care. I’m relieved Leia didn’t need the surgery but Ive learnt so much. A huge thanks to Callum and all the team and Leia did say you were her favourite. 🤩

Visited for a consultation regarxing my dog. Co sultation with Mark was excetional. Nark wad very calming with both my dog Dora and also us. He took information from us and thoroughly examined Dora. He then gave full description of what he belived was happening witb Dora. He provided options of what the practice could offer us but did not force or push us into making rash decisions. All in all, a situation tbat was very stressful and worrying for us was made easier by Mark providing full and specific infirmation and also hiz calm caring nature. Thankyou very much and I would recomend you and your practice to anyone seeking quality care for their animal famy members.

Mark was exceptional with Ted , from initial consultation to surgery was straightaway , not even waking Ted up from MRI to minimise risk from two Anaesthetics, Ted was so poorly when we took him into Mark , 24 hrs later he had had surgery and was at home recovering, the next 4 weeks were vital for Ted to make a full recovery , medication and crate rest were key , I had one to support off Mark constantly and sent him videos of Teddys progress. We are 6 months in now and Teddys has made nearly a full recovery , he has red light therapy once a month and is regaining a lot of the muscle he lost - I will be forever grateful for this clinic

To say that Callum and the team at Movement Referrals (Uttoxeter) saved Missy-Bo's life is no exaggeration. Missy-Bo had atlanto-axial fixation surgery (C1 and C2 vertebrae fused together). Because of her tiny size she needed 3d guides and custom made screws and pins. The whole team looked after Missy-Bo as if she were their own. The care and compassion shown to both myself and Missy-Bo from the moment we walked through the doors helped me to navigate a very stressful, emotional 2 weeks ending with her risky surgery. I can't heap enough praise on Vet Callum. He really is amazing.❤️ If your furry family member is in need of their care, I feel your pain, but they couldn't be in better hands. Thank you again, Callum and team 💙 ❤️
