We had to make the heartbreaking decision to have our beloved dog, Ned, put to sleep on Christmas Eve. It is difficult to put into words how painful that moment was for our family, but the team at Uttoxeter Vets were nothing short of exceptional. From the very first interaction, every member of staff showed genuine care, compassion and patience. They treated Ned with such tenderness and dignity, and they supported us with warmth and understanding at a time when we were completely overwhelmed with emotion. Nothing felt rushed. Everything was handled with sensitivity and respect, despite it being the most difficult time of year. Ned was given a calm, peaceful and dignified passing, and for that we will be forever grateful. At the absolute worst moment, they made an unbearable situation just a little easier to bear. We cannot thank the whole team enough. Truly outstanding people, and an incredible practice.

very disappointed to report a receptionist started laughing (bizarrely) on the phone while i was reporting an issue with my dog, who having being scratched a few times on her face by a cat had blood pouring from her wounds.

Lovely Vets, all very helpful and explain clearly the procedure. I would definitely recommend them as a local vet. However, since my review its now 30/7/25 I appreciate things have gone up in price, but £50 for a handwritten prescription for pain killers to me seems extortionate so I will be researching other vets and comparing prices since most others charge an average of £15 -£20. Are we here to care for animals or just make money 😔

Very rude receptionist! Asked if they were taking on new pets. Was asked if I had a vet my answer was no. Asked why if I had pets they were not registered at a vets. My answer was they were and we were looking for somewhere more local to us. Was advised not taking on and to stay where we were registered. Just say that in the first place without being rude and condescending!!

I’ve been using these vets since having my cockapoo Bernie, he’s now 4 years old. Every time I’ve needed the vets from his jabs to worming ear problems anything they have always sorted it asap. After a more scary time for us I want to thank the whole team for Bernie’s care, especially Orianne, Ollie and Louise. Bernie’s possible diagnosis and treatment was explained thoroughly and I felt more than confident to leave these guys to it. My Bernie has been in for sedation today and lots of tests and I was dreading it but the team made me feel so comfortable I knew he was in great hands. The service is always top and Bernie’s health is always priority. I can’t thank you enough for been my vets especially at worrying times. I’m not local to this vets practice I’m a couple towns away but after the service we have always received I refuse to go anywhere else and prefer to travel. I can not thank you enough. I highly recommend you guys over and over again. Bernie’s hooooman mum xx

Friendly, efficient, thorough and more importantly personal - Orianne and her team love animals and take the time to get to know yours without the corporate sales pitch or revolving door service that bigger practices insist on. Highly knowledgeable service that takes the time to give layman explanations plus reasonably priced
